LYMPH NODE BIOPSY STUDY
THE 098 "KOUP STUDY" FOR HIV+ PEOPLE
This study may help us toward the goal of someday having a cure for HIV.
About This Study
The purpose of this study is to collect lymph node tissue and blood to study what cells HIV is hiding in and to measure the amount of HIV hiding inside cells.
People who fit the study requirements will be asked to come for a visit for a lymph node biopsy from the groin & a blood draw (about 1½ to 4 hours).
LENGTH OF STUDY: About 2 weeks
COMPENSATION: $250 upon completion of study procedures
REQUIREMENTS

HIV+ men and women, 21 years old and up

In stable health
-
Have normal routine blood counts
-
No allergy to lidocaine (topical anesthetic)

Not pregnant or breast feeding
